Painting Holidays in Grasmere Staying at The Glenthorne set in the Easedale valley, yet within five mintes of the village centre. Painting locations will include Rydal Water, Grasmere Lake and Easedale Valley for perfect painting compostions. Painting on location and with demonstrations everyday, for the odd rainy days demonstrations can be taken in the garden room opening directly onto the gardens of the Glenthorne and Easedale Valley. Glenthorne Guest Country House A quiet, peaceful and serene location,
the Victorian country house is set in one of the most delightful and
beautiful locations in Grasmere, yet it is only five minutes walk to
the centre of the village.It had been the country residence of a prominent
Quaker Lynton Taylor,but today offers fully ensuite facilities, with
stunning views from the rooms, Conservatory and gardens.The Glenthorne
prides itself on its friendly welcome, good cooking from fresh ingredients
and a restful beautiful location perfect for enjoying a Lakeland painting
holiday in calm and magnificent surrounding All levels of painting ability are catered for, from total beginners through to Intermediates, Jane will guide and demonstrate in small friendly groups, painting in relaxed and beautiful locations and staying in perfect accommodation to enjoy the delights of a leisure art holiday, a real getaway from the busy life. |
Course agenda Courses start Monday at 12 noon with a welcome meeting and discussion of painting locations etc followed by an afternoon of painting just a short walk away.
Two full days Tuesday and Wednesday will begin at 10am either using local transport or walking to our first location of the day a few hours spent capturing reflections beside Rydal Water or Grasmere Lake, the afternoon spent painting either on location or back at the Glenthorne finishing around 4.30pm.
Thursday meeting at 10am painting in Easedale Valley or in Glenthorne Grounds finishing around 2pm.
Every day will be spent on location with Jane working alongside supporting, demonstrating and encouraging to develop your own style.
