About Me

Lakeland Art Courses by Jane Ward, a professional landscape artist, demonstrator, enthusiastic tutor and contributor to 'Leisure Painter', holding painting holidays in various beautiful locations. Born in North Yorkshire, as a child she discovered a great love of painting outdoors many happy hours were spent in the Yorkshire moors and Dales. A love of walking amongst inspiring high fell and mountain scenery led Jane to paint what she really loved, capturing dramatic light conditions on lakes, mountain ridges and tarns especially in winter moods.

Moving across the Pennines and into the Lake District was a dream come true, Jane paints mostly inWatercolours,Pastels and Oils and and spends much of her painting time in the Lake District, Scottish Highlands and Italian Lakes.Her work can be seen at Viridian Gallery, Keswick and Moot Hall, Keswick where she frequently holds exhibitions.

Thank you very much for a lovely painting course. I really enjoyed it and the group was great. Just wish it had been a bit longer!
